One of my favorite scenes in movies is from North by Northwest. Cary Grant is departing Chicago, trying to loose the bad guys while catching up with the other bad guys. In the scene you see a cab pull up to the curb at Midway airport. Cary gets out, walks up to the Northwest Airlines ticket counter, buys a ticket, and walks around the corner and out an open door onto the ramp, to get onto an airliner. The whole thing takes less than 2 minutes. I miss the twentieth century.
